ChatGPT needs little introduction — it's the assistant most sellers try first, and for good reason. For product copy it works in two modes: chat with it interactively to iterate on a description line by line, or build a custom GPT with your brand voice, catalog context and platform rules baked in, then generate every new SKU through it.

Its secret weapon for ecommerce is vision. Paste a product photo and ask for a description of details you can't see clearly in supplier specs — finish, texture, scale cues — then correct the hallucinations. That draft-with-photo workflow beats staring at a blank page for almost every seller we've talked to.

It's not ecommerce-specific: there's no Shopify sync, no bulk CSV mode, no marketplace compliance checks. It's the flexible engine, not the assembly line.
